Expert review
Complex cases: clarity through collaboration
If you're a clinician managing a complex or uncertain case, accessing a second opinion can be a valuable step in ensuring the best possible outcome for your patient. Our service connects you with highly experienced specialists who can offer independent insight, helping you validate a diagnosis, explore alternative approaches, or clarify next steps in care.
Professionals often seek second opinions to:
- Gain input on rare or borderline presentations.
- Confirm the appropriateness of a proposed treatment plan.
- Access subspecialist expertise not available locally.
- Support shared decision-making with patients and families.
- Ensure alignment with current best practice and evidence.
- Strengthen clinical confidence in challenging scenarios.
- Collaborate across disciplines for holistic care planning.
- Navigate uncertainty in high-stakes or time-sensitive cases.
Whether you're looking for a written report, a virtual discussion, or a full multidisciplinary review, we offer flexible options tailored to your needs.

Who it’s for
This service is designed for clinicians managing complex, rare, or uncertain cases who would benefit from input beyond their local resources. Whether you're seeking validation, alternative perspectives, or subspecialist insight, we offer structured support to help you make confident, informed decisions.
What to expect
Once you submit a brief summary of the case, we’ll follow up with a few targeted questions to understand the clinical context. Reviews may be conducted by individual specialists or small panels, and outcomes typically include a written report or structured feedback. Timelines vary depending on the nature of the case, but every review is handled with care, discretion, and clinical rigour.
Example packages
We understand that every case is different. That’s why we offer three flexible options, tailored to your needs.
Review of Existing Medical Information
If you already have medical records or test results, we can provide a detailed clinical review from a relevant specialist. This option allows us to assess your case without the need for an immediate appointment. Please ensure you have the patient’s consent before sharing any information with us — confidentiality and data protection are central to how we work.
Tests or Investigations
If further testing is needed, we can arrange access to state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities equipped with some of the most advanced technology available. From imaging and laboratory analysis to specialist assessments, our services are designed to support accurate, timely decision-making and ensure every care plan is built on the best possible clinical insight.
Joint Assessment and Care Planning
We offer the opportunity for one of our clinicians to join your case discussion — virtually or in person — to explore the pros and cons of different diagnostic and treatment pathways. These collaborative conversations bring together multiple perspectives, helping to refine decision-making and build more balanced, patient-centred care plans. They also offer a valuable learning opportunity for professionals, fostering clinical reflection, shared expertise, and continued development through real-world case dialogue.
How can I pay for a expert review?
Our review service is open to primary treating clinicians from anywhere in the world. If you hold registration with a recognised professional body and have the patient’s consent, you’re welcome to submit a case for review. Fees apply for this service, and we’ll provide a clear quote once we understand the nature and complexity of the case.
Funded by an NHS Trust
If the referring clinician is part of an NHS Trust, simply refer the case and we'll provide a tailored quote. Once we have a PO number we will commence the expert review.
Funded by a corporate sponsor or health authority
We accept referrals from clinicians from all over the world. It is common for employers, health authorities and embassies to fund expert reviews. In these instances, refer the case and we'll provide a tailored quote. Once we have a letter of guarantee or pre-payment, we will commence the expert review.
Funded privately
On occasions, the patient (or their parent or guardian) may fund the expert review. We will ensure the referring clinician and patient is provided with a tailored quote. Once we receive an 'undertaking to pay' from the patient and full pre-payment, we will commence the expert review.
The patient can use our online payment system to pay by card, or even ask us to invoice a private medical insurance provider (subject to pre-authorisations and policy coverage checks).
Ready to explore a second opinion or specialist review?
Send us a brief summary of the case — no personal details needed — and our team will be in touch with a few questions to guide the next steps. We're here to help you access expert insight, tailored to your needs.
