Second opinions

Confidence, when it matters most

Whether you're a parent, carer, or patient, our service offers access to highly experienced specialists who can help you feel confident in the decisions ahead.

Common reasons for seeking a second opinion include:

  • To make sure a diagnosis is correct, especially when it’s serious or life-changing.
  • To explore different treatment options that might be less invasive or more effective.
  • To feel more confident before starting a major procedure or long-term treatment.
  • To understand a complex condition more clearly, especially if the first explanation was confusing.
  • To hear from a specialist with more experience in a particular area of care.
  • To feel more involved and informed in decisions about their or their child’s care.
  • To check whether the recommended treatment is the most up-to-date or evidence-based.
  • To get input from a specialist centre when local services are limited or unavailable.

When you're unsure about a diagnosis or treatment plan, seeking a second opinion can be a powerful step.

How can I pay for a second opinion?

We welcome private patients from the UK and around the world, with flexible options for accessing our specialist services. Below are the main ways patients typically access care. Whichever you choose, we’ll work with you to ensure the process is clear, professional, and tailored to your needs.

Self-pay

Patients who choose to self-pay can access our services directly, without the need for referral or insurance approval. We’ll guide you through the available options and build a package tailored to your needs, with clear pricing provided before any commitment is made.

Prices start at £250 for a review by a single clinician.

Private medical insurance

If you’re covered by private medical insurance, we can work with your provider to arrange care. Our team will help confirm eligibility, manage authorisations, and ensure your treatment plan aligns with your policy — making the process as smooth as possible.

Sponsor or patron

We also welcome patients whose care is sponsored by a recognised organisation, such as a health authority, embassy, employer, or charity. Our team will liaise with your sponsor to coordinate approvals, invoicing, and any required documentation, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Ready to explore a second opinion or specialist review?

Send us a brief summary of the case — no personal details needed — and our team will be in touch with a few questions to guide the next steps. We're here to help you access expert insight, tailored to your needs.
